City-by-city shipping notes

We pick up and deliver all over the state. A few notes on the cities we ship to and from most:

Atlanta

Georgia’s hub. I-75, I-85 and I-20 all meet downtown, so carriers pass through every day. Intown streets can be tight; we often meet at a nearby lot.

Augusta

On I-20 at the South Carolina line, about 150 miles east of Atlanta. Easy to add to Atlanta and Carolinas loads.

Columbus

On the Alabama line. Many of our moves here are military families coming and going from the nearby Army post.

Macon-Bibb County

Right where I-75 and I-16 meet, so it sits on the main Atlanta to Florida run.

Savannah

On I-95 and I-16. A natural stop on Florida and East Coast lanes. Historic downtown squares are tough for big trucks.

Athens

College town. Expect move-in and move-out rushes around the University of Georgia calendar.

South Fulton

Southwest of Atlanta near the airport, with quick access to I-85 and I-285.

Sandy Springs

Just inside and outside I-285 on the north side. Apartment and office complexes usually have a lot we can use.

Roswell

North Fulton suburb along GA-400. Older neighborhoods near downtown Roswell have narrow, winding streets.

Warner Robins

South of Macon off I-75, home to Robins Air Force Base. PCS moves are common here.

Johns Creek

Quiet suburb with lots of HOA neighborhoods. Gated streets may mean meeting the driver at the entrance.

Mableton

West of Atlanta in Cobb County, close to I-20 and I-285 for a quick pickup.

Alpharetta

Off GA-400 north of Atlanta. A lot of corporate relocations and higher-end cars, so enclosed transport comes up often.

Albany

Southwest Georgia, off the interstates. Plan a little extra time for a carrier to route in.

Marietta

Cobb County, right on I-75 and I-575, which makes pickup simple.

Stonecrest

East DeKalb on I-20, an easy add to Atlanta, Augusta and Carolinas loads.

Brookhaven

Inside I-285 just north of Buckhead. Dense streets, so a meeting spot nearby is often the smart choice.

Smyrna

Northwest of Atlanta near I-75 and I-285, close to the Braves stadium area.

Valdosta

On I-75 just above the Florida line, so it sits right on the Georgia to Florida lane. Moody Air Force Base is nearby.

Dunwoody

Perimeter Center area off I-285 and GA-400, with plenty of space for a carrier to load.

Why Georgia Shipping Moves Quickly

Atlanta sits where I-75, I-85 and I-20 meet, and it’s the largest city between Florida and the Midwest. That means a steady stream of carriers heading north to Ohio and Pennsylvania, south to Florida, west to Texas and on to California. More trucks on a route usually means it’s easier to find one with an open spot for your car.

Outside metro Atlanta, towns on I-75, I-16 and I-95 (Macon, Warner Robins, Valdosta, Savannah) sit right on the main lanes. Rural pickups off the interstates are fine too. They can just take a little longer to schedule.

Open or Enclosed in Georgia?

Open transport is what most people use for an everyday car, and it’s the lower price. Summer storms in Georgia are short and heavy, and pollen season coats everything yellow, so if you’re shipping a classic, exotic or freshly detailed car, enclosed transport keeps it covered from pickup to delivery.

FAQ

Georgia Questions

How much does it cost to ship a car to or from Georgia?

It depends on the distance, the vehicle, open or enclosed, and the season. Short runs like Atlanta to Jacksonville cost far less than Atlanta to Los Angeles. We don’t post made-up averages. Get an exact quote or call (424) 453-1800.

Do I have to pay Georgia’s TAVT when I move there with my car?

Usually, yes. New Georgia residents generally pay a one-time title ad valorem tax (TAVT) when they title their car in Georgia, and you have 30 days after moving to register it. Check your county tag office or the Georgia Department of Revenue for your exact amount.

Can the carrier pick up from my house in metro Atlanta?

In most suburbs, yes. In dense intown neighborhoods or gated communities, a full-size carrier may not fit, so the driver meets you at the nearest wide street or parking lot. Tell us about access when you book.

Is Atlanta to Florida a quick shipment?

It’s one of the shortest and busiest lanes we run, so carriers are easy to find. Your exact pickup window and transit time come with your quote.
