When the Truck Can’t Reach
A loaded carrier can be 75 feet long. Some streets just don’t fit one:
- Narrow streets and cul-de-sacs
- Low trees and power lines
- Gated communities and HOA rules
- Steep hills and truck-restricted roads
Then the driver meets you at a nearby wide street or parking lot. Common in New York and Los Angeles.
Name someone you trust to hand over or receive the car. Give us their name and number when you book.
Door-to-Door Questions
Will the carrier come right to my house?
If a big truck can get there safely and legally, yes. If not (a narrow street, a low tree canopy, a gated community or an HOA that bans trucks), the driver meets you at the nearest safe spot, usually a wide street or a store parking lot a few minutes away.
Does door-to-door cost extra?
No. Door-to-door is how we quote shipments by default. Your price already includes pickup and delivery as close to your addresses as the carrier can safely get.
Do I have to be there?
You or someone you trust (a friend, family member or neighbor over 18) needs to be there at pickup and delivery to hand over or accept the keys and sign the inspection report with the driver.
What about terminal-to-terminal shipping?
Some companies offer drop-off and pickup at storage lots, called terminals. Door-to-door is simpler for most people and avoids storage fees, which is why it’s our standard. If you need something different, call (424) 453-1800 and ask.
